The Colorado River Walkers will be hosting a traditional walk on Saturday, September 26th, at McKinney Falls State Park in southeast Austin. Our club most recently hosted a walk at this park on a chilly day in February of 2022, and we are happy to be featuring this beautiful park again. The pictures in this post are from early 2022. Above is the view from the Rock Shelter, and below are the Upper Falls.
The park is located at 5808 McKinney Falls Parkway, Austin, TX 78744. Our walk start point will be at the Smith Visitor Center in the park. The start window is from 8:30 to 11:30 AM, and walkers should be finished by 2:30 PM.
