Colorado River Walkers
January 11, 2026 Meeting Minutes
President Carol O called the January 2026 meeting of the Colorado River Walkers to order at 3:16 pm on Sunday, January 11, in the Central Market cafe on North Lamar.
Members present were Carolyn D, Larry J, Stephanie K, Thomas M., Lisa R., Carol O., Terry S. , Mary Z.
The minutes were accepted. Terry gave the treasurer’s report. The January 1 checking account balance was $1189.80, with an additional $50 cash on hand.
Linda D. gave the YRE report. The December attendance was:
Historic Capitol 1
Fairview 2
Lady Bird Lake 1
Belton 1
Carol gave the year-end report of the YREs. Charles R is taking over the Cedar Park box, with Mary R as the back-up. Carolyn is the new point of contact for Georgetown. There was a discussion of the construction difficulties for the YRE routes in Georgetown and Round Rock, and Lisa reported that changes were pending for the start point in Pflugerville.
February 28 is our next traditional walk. There was a discussion about having a featured YRE for this walk. Stephanie and Terry each checked out Travis Heights and decided there was not a suitable start point in terms of parking and restrooms. Stephanie and Terry will take responsibility for the walk to be done on February 28 at our Cedar Park YRE.
Thomas received some materials to give to Charles and Mary for the Cedar Park walk box.
The club enjoyed cupcakes to celebrate Larry’s recent birthday.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:00 pm.
