November 11, 2025 Meeting Minutes
President Carol O. called the November, 2025. meeting of the Colorado River Walkers to order at 3:08 pm in the Central Market Cafe on North Lamar on Tuesday, November 2025. Members present were: Linda D., Mike F., Stephanie K., Carol O., Greg S., Wayne S., Terry S., and Mary Z.
The reading of the minutes was omitted. The treasurer noted that the current checking balance is $1156.80 and total financial assets of $1212.80.
Linda gave the YRE report. We had 8 YRE walkers in October: 2 for the Capitol, 2 for Georgetown, 2 for Belton, and 2 for Salado, with a $1 donation. Carol reported that Carolyn D. is the new POC for the Georgetown YRE.
Terry gave a report on the TVA meeting. TVA is no longer collecting annual dues from the member clubs. CRW dates for walks in 2026 are February 28, April 18, September 26, and November 21. The next TVA meeting will be March 6-8, 2026, in Ft. Worth. The March 6 walk includes the “hidden waterfall” along the west fork of the Trinity River, on land that was formerly part of Carswell Air Force Base.
Stephanie gave a report on plans for the Hornsby Bend traditional event. The Hornsby Bend walk is November 22 and Stephanie passed a worker sign-up sheet.
Terry will staff an Opt Outside walk on Friday, November 28, at the Pflugerville Recreation Center. (This will be listed on the AVA website under programs> national programs> Opt Outside.)
Linda reported on her recent trip and some of the walks she did in western states.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:11 pm.
