The Hill Country Volkssportsverein club will be hosting their Fall Halloween walk in Waring this coming weekend. It will be a 2-day event, both on Saturday, October 25th, and on Sunday, the 26th.
This is the 46th year for this event, with wonderful concessions available both days. The Lane Valley Community Center will be serving breakfast, burgers and baked goods at the walk start point, and the Waring VFD will have their very popular fish fry lunch next door on Sunday.
In addition to the Halloween fun and the great food, walkers will be able to enjoy the beautiful Hill Country scenery. Martin Callahan took the picture above on this walk last year. So cute!
The walk start point is at Waring Hall, 205 Ave. C in Waring, and walkers may start between 8:00 and 11:00 am.
