We are grateful for the people who came to our walk in the Mueller neighborhood on September 27th and shared their pictures with us. The picture above of Charley Watt, Jr. was taken at Mueller Lake Park. That picture, as well as the next five, were sent to us by Martin Callahan.
Below are some pictures of Colorado River Walkers club members working at the Start/Finish, starting with Larry J., who helped walkers fill out their start cards.

Larry sent walkers to Stephanie K. (left) and Terry S. at the registration table.

Then walkers went to see Carol O., below, who handed out maps and directions and got them started on the walk.

Below is Martin Callahan with his dog Blanca by one of the many parks on the walk route.

Colorado River Walkers Mary Dougherty and Charles Rogers are working the checkpoint below.

The next seven pictures were shared with us by Charley Watt, Jr.
Charley posted his full set of pictures on Facebook, but I wanted to put some of them on our website, too! First is a nice shot of the old Mueller Airport control tower.

He captured Nessie, the sea monster sculpture created by artist Dixie Friend Gay,

This is the pretty, tree-lined walkway that goes past the Thinkery towards a commercial area.

Colorful shrooms.

Skeletons coming out for Halloween!

Some beautiful zennias.

A Little Free Library.

The last three pictures are from Colorado River Walker Kathy Frew. She did the walk with her granddaughter. Like Charley, she already posted a larger set of great pictures on Facebook, but I selected a few of them for this post.
Her husband, Mike Frew, worked the checkpoint, and this first picture shows him with their granddaughter, Quinn.

Below is a painted cow at Dell Children’s Hospital.

Lastly, some adorable ducklings at Mueller Lake Park.

Thank you to all of our walkers and workers who made this an enjoyable event!
