The Guadalupe Gallivanters are hosting a walk in Medina, Texas, this coming Saturday, September 13th.
The start/finish is at the Love Creek Orchards Apple Store, located at 14024 TX-16, Medina TX 78055. The picture above was taken on the front porch of the Apple Store on this walk last year.
Walkers may start the walk between 7:30 and 10:30 am, and there are 5k and 10k routes available. Water and fresh, crisp apples will be available at the check points.
Medina is “The Apple Capital of Texas,” and the Love Creek Orchards Apple Store is the perfect spot to buy apple products and their wonderful apple pie. The store has a bakery and a cafe on site, so plan on staying for lunch after the walk. We’ve heard it’s worth a drive out to this scenic area for the burgers and apple pie alone!
