Photos from Easton Park Walk on Feb 22nd

We had our Easton Park walk yesterday, when the weather was decidedly cold and dreary, but we had fun and made the best of it. We know we have to take the good with the bad, and we’d love to showcase this great neighborhood again some day when the weather is better!

Here are a few pictures taken at the Start/Finish at Skyline Park yesterday.

Above are (left to right) Siba, Larry and Carol. Siba did the walk, and Larry and Carol worked at the Start/Finish.

Below are Stephanie and Terry working the registration table. Terry (on the right) had the right idea for dealing with the icy wind.

Linda, below, worked the finish table and was ready to stamp! (We had fun with the pictures.)

Jerry, below, was one of our intrepid walkers!

Another group of walkers and workers are in the next picture. Left to right are Charles, who worked our checkpoint, Wayne, who was our parking attendant, and Taina and Tim (Wayne’s wife and nephew), who did the walk. We really appreciate Charles and Wayne, whose only shelter was their vehicles!

Next are second generation Colorado River Walkers! Left to right are Emeka, Kati and Katie. Emeka is the son of our club president, Carol. Next to him is his wife, Kati. On the right is Katie, the daughter of our webmistress, Stephanie. Emeka and Kati did the walk, and Katie had walked the trail earlier with her mom.

Below is Nelli, on the right, who did the walk, with Stephanie at the Start/Finish.

The last picture is of Greg (on the right), our sweeper, with Carol. He was getting ready to start the walk and pick up the arrows on the trail.

There wasn’t much we could do about the circumstances except be glad that we had a shelter, an electric outlet so that we had hot tea and cocoa, and wonderful company!

We thank our great walkers and workers for coming out and joining us!
