Save the Date!  Easton Park Walk on Feb 22nd

Save the Date!  Easton Park Walk on Feb 22nd

The Colorado River Walkers will be hosting a walk on the southeast side of Austin on Saturday, February 22nd.  The walk will be in Easton Park, a growing master-planned community. The walk start point is at Skyline Park in Easton Park, 7800 Apogee Blvd, Austin, TX 78744.

Easton Park is divided into smaller neighborhoods, each with its own name, flavor, and gathering spaces. One of the neighborhoods that walkers may visit is Knob Hill. Knob Hill Park contains an old Austin Dillo trolley car that has been repurposed into a playscape.  It is pictured above and even has a bell and steering wheel.

At the top of Knob Hill Park is Lookout Point, pictured below.

Another park that we are highlighting is Kieke Park, which has a nice playscape and hike and bike trails nearby on a greenbelt by the creek. The Kieke family owned much of the land that is now Easton Park, and there are plaques by the park telling of the Kieke family history.

Walkers may also go by The Union, which is an amenity center with a gym, pool, and meeting spaces. It is shown below.

These are only a few of the areas in this unique community. With all of the pocket parks, picnic areas, and walking trails throughout the neighborhoods, it is a fun place to visit.
