The Hill Country Volkssportsverein club will be hosting their Halloween walk in Waring this coming weekend. It will be a 2-day event, both on Saturday, October 26th, and on Sunday, the 27th. This will be the 45th Annual Halloween Walk, and it’s a fun tradition.
We all love the delicious concessions that are available both days. The Lane Valley Community Center will be serving breakfast, burgers and baked goods at the walk start point, and the Waring VFD will have their very popular fish fry lunch next door on Sunday.
In addition to the Halloween fun and the great food, walkers will be able to enjoy the beautiful Hill Country scenery. Nelli Aguirre took the picture above on this walk in October of 2020.
The walk start point is at Waring Hall, and walkers may start between 8:00 and 11:00 am.
