Several Colorado River Walkers went to Gonzales today and did the walk in Independence Park. We enjoyed the cooler weather and the shady park. Above is a view of the Guadalupe River from the trail.
At the Start/Finish below are (left to right) Carol O., Charley W., Stephanie K., Ellen O., and John I. Charley was the trailmaster for this walk.

Next is a group of walkers on the trail. You can see a glimpse of the river through the trees. Left to right are Doug E., Frank E., John David G., and Martin C. with Winston.

A curious squirrel peaked out at me from its home.

Next are some pictures taken of the dam and the river from the checkpoint.

This is just down river from the dam.

Colorado River Walker Greg S. on the trail.

The trees were very nice!

Below are CRW members Kathy and Mike F. just finishing up the 10 km route. They don’t even look tired!

Lastly, a selfie that I took with Linda F. at the Finish table.

Thank you, Charley Watt Jr, for laying out the new walk route in this beautiful park in Gonzales, and to the San Antonio Pathfinders for hosting the walk!
