Photos from Moya Park Walk on Sep 28th

Martin Callahan shared these pictures with us that he took at our “Richard Moya Park Revisited” walk on September 28th. In the picture above, Doug E. is standing on the historic Moore’s Crossing Bridge.

Below are Colorado River Walkers Carol O., Stephanie K., and Terry S., who all worked at the Start/Finish. We enjoyed coming back to this beautiful park on the south side of Austin this year.

Martin snapped this next picture at the beginning of the walk. Left to right are Frank E., Hal B., Jean B. with Winston, and Doug E. with Dolly.

Below is another group of walkers on the trail. From the left are John B., Tina B., Ellen O., Pat G., Audrey V. with Winston, and Doug E. with Dolly. The first part of the walk was nice and shady!

Next is Siba S. with the bridge behind her.

Below is a picture of Martin C. with Winston next to the Moore’s Crossing Bridge historical marker.

And another group on the bridge – Susan N., Andy T., and Doug E.

Part of the route was under the flight path of planes coming in to land at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, and Martin snapped this picture of one of them. It looks pretty close!

The next picture was taken at the end of the walk, back at the Start/Finish. From the left are Frank E., Doug E. and Greg S. Greg was our sweeper for the walk and was getting ready to sweep the trails.

Last are Rosie P. and her Mom, Mary D., helping walkers with snacks and welcoming them back from the walk with smiles!

We appreciate all of the walkers who joined us from distances far and near, our workers, and Martin, who shared his pictures with us. Thank you all!
