We enjoyed featuring our Lady Bird Lake walk this past Saturday, and we thank everyone who braved the heat to come out and join us!
Charley Watt, Jr., drove up to Austin for the walk and shared some pictures with us. He took the picture above looking over the water at downtown Austin from Lou Neff Point.
He took the next few pictures in Zilker Park. The first is the Zilker Eagle miniature train.

Next is a view of the dam at Barton Springs that makes the famous swimming pool.

Stephanie Knight helped at the Start/Finish and took pictures of walkers and workers there. The first picture below shows (L to R) Carol O. with Hal and Jean B. Love all the big smiles!

Next is Jerry P. enjoying a slice of watermelon after the walk.

Below are Mary Z. (left) and Chinwe O. (Carol O.’s daughter) coming back to the Finish. They were both workers and walkers!

John David G. (in the back) and Charley W. are also enjoying some watermelon after the walk in this next one. A very big “Thank You” to Carol and Chinwe O. for bringing the watermelon. They had it sliced and iced down for us!

Below are (L to R) Joe and Holly D., and Dee R. at the Start/Finish table.

Carol O. took the next picture of Nelli A., Stephanie K., Debbie G., and Chinwe O., from left to right.

Charley sent these last few pictures, and we thank him for sharing them all with us.
The one below shows, left to right, Stephanie K., Charley W., and Carol O. This is a view of the OTHER side of the Start/Finish table in the shade under MoPac.

Charley took this next picture of the Stevie Ray Vaughan statue by Lady Bird Lake.

After the walk, Charley went tubing on the San Marcos River to cool off. Here is a selfie that he sent!

Ahh! Summertime in Texas!
