1. The American Wanderer is being published on line only, starting April, 2024. It is available for anyone regardless of membership status. Contact AVA if you would like to receive it.

2. Traveling Guided Walks are being used by some clubs. One stamp is used for such group walks during a year. There is a leader and sweep for the walks.

3. Three group walks were held in the Austin area recently as follows:
– Brushy Creek Park – 9 walkers

– Lady Bird Lake YRE – 5 walkers

– Round Rock YRE – 1 walker

4. AVA annual meetings have changed from the month of June every year to other months.  Therefore CRW will not meet in May this year, but will meet in June. This will also provide time for members to attend the 3 day walk event, Coastal Adventure, in Corpus Christi, Rockport and Port Aransas.

5. Helen Hull has completed walks in all Louisiana parishes and will now start county walks in New Mexico.

6. The Element 3 Program has changed its name to Grouper. Doctors refer patients to this program for group walking for health improvement. Currently CRW does not sponsor regular group walks.  If you would like to be in charge of such walks, please contact Carol O.

UPCOMING  INTERESTING  EVENTS:  For further information please see the CRW and AVA websites.

The San Antonio Pathfinders are planning a three day weekend event, Coast Adventure, 5/10 – 05/12 that will include YRE walks in Corpus Christi, Rockport, and Aransas Pass.

The meeting adjourned at 7:15 pm

Respectively submitted,
