Charley’s Pictures from the Friendship Walk in San Antonio

Our friend, Charley Watt, Jr., attended the Texas Trail Roundup in San Antonio, and he did the 12k Friendship Walk on February 23rd. He said that the route was absolutely amazing, and he saw areas that he hadn’t previously seen. He shared these wonderful pictures with us that show some of the beautiful public art and cultural sites in downtown San Antonio.

The picture above is a selfie that Charley took by a mural at Legacy Park, next to the Texas Public Radio Station. Below is a mural of the San Antonio city skyline in Southtown.

Next is Charley by the Alamo.

Below is a waterfall at Yanaguana Garden at Hemisfair Park.

The next picture was also taken at Yanaguana Garden.

And another great mural at the Locks and Dam near VFW Post 76.

Below are Butterfly Wings on the River Walk near the Rivercenter Mall.

The mural below is at the UTSA School of Arts.

Lastly is the head of Lenin, officially named “Miss Mao Trying to Poise Herself at the Top of Lenin’s Head.”

Thanks for sharing your pictures with us, Charley! I’m glad that you enjoyed the walk and captured some great sights along the way.
