The next Colorado River Walkers meeting will be on Monday, October 9th, at 6:00 pm.
We will meet at the usual meeting place – the Central Market at 4001 N. Lamar Blvd, in the upstairs café area inside the store. If the weather is cool enough, we will meet on the upstairs covered patio.
The picture above was taken at our recent “Zilker Neighborhood Revisited” walk by Martin Callahan. Standing, left to right, are Carol O., Stephanie K., Larry J., Frank E., and Doug E. Seated are Terry S. (left) and Linda F.. It was a great walk, and we thank our trail master and club president, Carol Obianwu, for planning the route and making it happen!
Speaking of walks, Carol has been working on our next traditional walk, which is coming up soon – November 18th. She has secured a Start/Finish location and has a preliminary route. The walk will be in East Austin, with the start point a little further east than our Boggy Creek Trail walk this past April. She is thinking about heading east along Boggy Creek on the Walnut Creek Hike and Bike Trail, possibly to Urban Roots East Austin Farm. We’ll get more information at the meeting.
We can’t bring in outside food to Central Market, so if you’d like to enjoy refreshments at the meeting, arrive a little earlier and buy your dinner or snack and a drink downstairs. Then head with your food, via either the elevator or the stairs, to the room upstairs.
We hope to see you there!
