The next Colorado River Walkers meeting will be on Monday, September 11th, at 6:00 pm.
We will meet at the usual meeting place – the Central Market at 4001 N. Lamar Blvd, in the upstairs café area inside the store. If the weather is cool enough, we will meet on the upstairs covered patio.
We need to finalize the plans for our next traditional walk, Zilker Neighborhood Revisited, which will take place on September 23rd. The picture above shows the new home of Suvi Aika, the artist behind the colorful “Fairy Alley” that was featured on our walk in this same neighborhood in 2015. We won’t be including Fairy Alley in this year’s walk, but our walk route will go by Suvi’s lovely new home. This is going to be a beautiful walk, and hopefully it will be a little cooler by the 23rd!
We can’t bring in outside food to Central Market, so if you’d like to enjoy refreshments at the meeting, arrive a little earlier and buy your dinner or snack and a drink downstairs. Then head with your food, via either the elevator or the stairs, to the room upstairs.
