Pictures from Gruene Walk on Apr 29th

Colorado River Walker Deb Peak went to the Historic Gruene walk on April 29th in New Braunfels and sent in some pictures. She took the close-up of the Guadalupe River above. It looks sooo refreshing right about now with our current streak of 100+ degrees weather.

She also took the next two pictures. The first is a mural.

The second is a barrel full of color!

Martin Callahan also shared some pictures from the walk with us. The rest of the photos in this post were taken by him. Below is Colorado River Walker Nelli A. on the trail.

Next is a shot taken inside the historic Gruene Hall. It was built in 1878, and is believed to be one of the oldest dance halls in Texas. The Start/Finish for the walk was located in the Gruene Dance Hall Beer Garden.

Keeping with the whimsical vibe of some of Deb’s pictures, here are a few from Martin –

It looks like it was a fun day walking the the Gruene Historic District. Thanks to Deb and Martin for sharing the pictures!
