We wanted to share some information about our Boggy Creek Trail Walk that we will be hosting on Saturday, April 15th.
First of all, the Conley-Guerrero Senior Activity Center does not open until 8:00 am. That means that bathrooms will not be available at the Start/Finish until 8:00 am. Since our walk start window is from 8:00 to 11:00 am, theoretically this shouldn’t be a problem…
However, we know that there are always early birds, so we wanted to give you a heads up!
Secondly, we will be directing walkers to park in the parking lot that has an entrance on Webberville Road. Please see the map below.
This parking area is very close to our Start/Finish in the courtyard of the Conley-Guerrero center. We will have staff there to direct you to the courtyard. If this parking area fills up, there are two other parking areas available, both accessible from Pleasant Valley Road.
Please understand that we only want to use the additional parking as overflow. This will enable the folks who are attending other activities at the center to park in their accustomed parking area. In other words, we want to be nice guests and not hog all their spaces!
In case you missed it, this walk qualifies for the “Walking with America’s Veterans” special program, since both the 5km and 10km routes go by the Doris Miller Auditorium, pictured below.
The walk also qualifies for the “Par for the Course” special program due several playgrounds on the walk route, one of which is right next to the parking area.
