The Texas Volkssport Association and the Volkssportverein Friedrichsburg club are sponsoring the annual walks in Fredericksburg on New Year’s Eve and on New Year’s Day.
What better way to say goodbye to 2022 and welcome in 2023 than to walk with friends and join in the festivities!
On Saturday, December 31st, walkers may choose between a morning walk or evening walk, or they may do both. The morning walk is the Cross Mountain YRE, and registration is from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Walkers should be finished by 4:00 pm. The evening walk is the Pilgrimage YRE. Registration for that walk is from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and walkers should be finished by Midnight. The Sunday walk on January 1st is the St. Mary’s Cemeteries YRE, with a start window of 8:00 am to 11:00 am. Walkers should finish this walk by 2:00 pm.
