One of the most beautiful winter walks in Texas is coming up on Saturday, December 3rd. It is the Johnson City “Lights Spectacular” walk in “The Twinkliest Town in Texas,” and it will be hosted by the Volkssportverein Friedrichsburg walking club.
This is a great day trip from Austin, around an hour away. Walkers may start the walk from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. The event lights will be turned on around 5:30 pm, so walkers may choose to walk during the evening hours so they can enjoy the incredible light displays. All walkers must be finished by 8:00 pm.
The start point is the LBJ National Historical Park Visitor Center (not the one in Stonewall!), located at 100 Ladybird Lane, Johnson City, TX 78636.
We’d love for you to come out and enjoy this great walk! For all the details, please see the walk brochure below.
