Colorado River Walkers Mary Zeitler and Doug Eide shared some pictures from our club’s “Artistic Bastrop and the El Camino Real de los Tejas” walk. The walk was held on Saturday, April 30th.
Mary Z. sent two pictures that she took at the Pyrology Foundry while she was working the checkpoint there. The picture above shows JoAnn and Johnie L. in front of one of the statues on the grounds, and the picture below shows Susan M. by a sculpture at the foundry office.

The rest of the photos in this post were sent in by Doug E. Below is Frank E. on the trail by the Colorado River.

Next is a picture of one of the streets in downtown Bastrop with several historic buildings.

Here is one of the many medallions embedded in the sidewalk along Chestnut St.

Next is Doug in front of the Bastrop Opera House.

And Frank in the old Bastrop County Jail… Just kidding!

Below is a group picture in front of the Kerr Community Center. Left to right are Charley W. with Dolly, Gayle W., Doug E. with Rudy, and JohnDavid G.

The last two pictures are interesting yard art and a creative street address sign on a house along the route.

Thanks for sharing, Mary and Doug!
