The Randolph Roadrunners are featuring their Crownridge Canyon Natural Area Year Round Event this coming Saturday, March 26th. This is a lovely natural area where it is easy to feel immersed in the rugged beauty of the Hill Country while being so close to the city of San Antonio. Once you have hiked a bit on the trail, you have sweeping vistas of the surrounding hillsides.
The photo above shows Martin Callahan on this walk in March of 2021. He took the next two pictures on that same walk.
Below is a picture of Stephanie K. on the trail.
The next photo shows the entrance to a nearby neighborhood, The Heights of Crownridge. The walk route goes through this neighborhood, in addition to the natural area. The homes, as well as the views, are gorgeous.
On Saturday, Randolph Roadrunners club members will be at the natural area from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. to register walkers and stamp their books. The address is 7222 Luskey Blvd in San Antonio.
Please see the brochure below for all the details.
The weather should be great on Saturday, and there may even be bluebonnets in bloom.
We hope that you can make it and enjoy this hike!
