Stephanie K. will be leading a Workers’ Walk this coming Saturday, September 19th, in preparation for our traditional Richard Moya Park Walk which will occur the following Saturday (9/26).
We’ll be meeting at 8:30 AM in the parking lot by the ball fields at Richard Moya Park. The address for the park is 10001 Burleson Road, and you enter the park on Emma Browning Avenue. Coming in the main entrance off of Burleson Road, the parking lot is on the right at the bottom of the hill.
A group of us walked the 6k route last Saturday, 9/12, and we took these pictures on that walk. The photo above shows Nellie and Mary on the trail under the beautiful canopy of mature pecan trees.
On 9/19, we’ll focus on the parts of the 10k route that we didn’t walk on 9/12, but we probably won’t walk the entire 10k route.
Below are Carol and Jean up ahead on the trail.

Carol, with Nellie behind her, stopped on the ramp coming down from Moore’s Crossing Bridge to take a picture of a huge grasshopper.

We’d be happy for you to join us at the Workers’ Walk if you can. If not, we welcome you to come on out on Sept 26th for the real walk!
