Red Cedar River on Michigan State University Campus

Our Colorado River Walkers club member, Terry Sullivan, and her husband, Doug Laycock, recently sent these pictures from East Lansing, Michigan.

Their usual daily walk is along the banks of the Red Cedar River, which flows through the Michigan State University campus in East Lansing. The picture above shows Doug by the river with the walking trail flooded behind him. Terry says they’ve had to alter their route a bit!

Terry sent these pictures yesterday. She said that the river was at 8.5 feet, and that flood stage is 7 feet. Below are a few more pictures of the river that she sent.

Terry also sent this picture of the iconic Beaumont Tower on the MSU campus at twilight recently.

Thank you for sharing the pictures, Terry and Doug. The campus looks like a beautiful place to take a daily walk!
