Carolyn Doolittle, a member of our walking club, sent these beautiful pictures from a recent 5k walk that she took in her neighborhood with her dog, Oakley.
Her neighborhood, Heritage at Vizcaya, is on the northeast side of Round Rock. The neighborhood has extensive hike and bike trails running throughout the community. Parts of the hike and bike trail follow McNutt Creek. Other parts of the trail go along streets, across fields, under bridges, and through scenic areas with ponds and fountains!
I love the way the plantings by the ponds complement the native Texas landscape and make for nice vistas.
Below are two views of McNutt Creek from the trail.

It looks like Carolyn’s dog, Oakley, is having a good time. What a beautiful dog!

Here are two great shots of the hike and bike trail as it winds through the trees.

I love this next picture of the walking path under the bridge.

Some pretty purple flowers.

Below is a panoramic shot of the pond and fountain. You can see the hike and bike trail circling the pond in the back.

More pretty flowers along the portion of the trail that borders the houses.

Many thanks to Carolyn for sharing her neighborhood walk with us!
