Richard Moya Park Walk Rescheduled for Sept 26th

The Colorado River Walkers will be hosting a walk at Richard Moya Park, on the south east side of Austin, on Saturday, September 26th. This walk was originally scheduled for April 25th, but we postponed it due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

We will be walking in the park, which is heavily wooded with pecan trees, on hike and bike trails by Onion Creek, across the historic Moore’s Crossing Bridge, and just across Burleson Road from the South Terminal of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Walkers may start the walk between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and must finish by 2:00 p.m.

We are excited to announce that this event qualifies for the new special program of “Airports – Celebrating American flight.”

Below are a few more pictures of the park and of Moore’s Crossing Bridge. Even though these pictures were taken in January, you can just imagine how beautiful the pecan trees will be in April!
