The Randolph Roadrunners Volkssport Club of Universal City is putting on a walk in the City of Garden Ridge this coming Saturday, Oct. 5th.
Garden Ridge is located on the Northeast side of San Antonio, and is a small community with lovely homes in a tranquil setting. The start point is at Paul Davis Park in Garden Ridge, which boasts beautiful oak trees and a quiet, tree-shaded stream.
Looks and sounds inviting, doesn’t it? Garden Ridge is only about 60 miles south of Austin on IH-35…
There is both a 10k route and a 5k route available for walkers, and the AVA trail rating is “1B.” The walk is mostly on paved rural roads with small hills, with very little to no shoulder. Walkers can start anytime from 8:00 am until 11:00 am, and they must finish no later than 2:00 pm.
